My best guess without seeing the teams: Spurs can’t win today unless Adebayor plays a blinder.
Recently, I noted that Sherwood has turned Ade into an angry gladiator.
He has been unrecognisable lately
New Spurs boss Tim Sherwood claimed on Friday that Adebayor is a warrior.
A warrior?
Sherwood said, “Adebayor will be huge.
“I think that if Arsène Wenger saw him limping off at Old Trafford. I’m sure there were a lot of pleased Arsenal fans, management and players but, unfortunately, he’s going to be walking out against them.
“It didn’t look great when he came off on that stretcher but he is a warrior. There is no holding him back at the moment. He got cramp in every part of his body and we weren’t sure what to rub and what to put ice on next. He was really struggling. But the guys have given him some treatment, and loving, which they were told to do, and I am sure he is going to be fine.
“At every club he’s ever played for, the fans respect Adebayor for the player he is. There are certain players when the team-sheet comes in, you scan down and see if they’re playing. I did it at Old Trafford … see if Rooney’s playing straight away and I’m sure Arsenal will do the same with Adebayor.”
Sherwood says Ade is cleverer than people think.
“He realises and learns from his mistakes. It was a 50-50 and it could have gone either way whether he got sent off. He might have been a bit unfortunate. I’m sure he’s learned from that and let’s keep our fingers crossed he stays on all the game. Let’s hope there’s an FA Cup script written for him.”
I RECKON IT’S TIM WHO IS CLEVERER THAN PEOPLE THINK.
Tim is close to Harry and he saw what worked for Harry when he managed Tottenham.
Having said that, I reckon Sherwood is taking a page out of Wenger’s book by managing his player through the media
Tim is encouraging us expect a bold, fiery & highly energetic performance by Adebayor.
Myself, I reckon Drogba, Shearer and Ian Wright were warriors.
David Rocastle & Patrick Vieira were warriors
(Falcao is a warrior who is wasted at Monaco.)
Denis Law was a legend and a warrior.
If Adebarndoor was a warrior, Wenger would not have sold him when he did.
And I’m reliably informed that Wenger wanted to unload Ade a year before he did so.
But you definitely won’t see that said on your TV screen today.
Will Arsene Wenger chuck the FA Cup again this year?
Would he dare to chuck it in a game like this?
Yes he would. Wenger’s audacity is undiminished.
But let’s wait and see what team he puts on the field at 5.30.
