If Arsenal are top at the end of February, they will be champions

Arsenal have three huge games in February.

Liverpool v Arsenal on 8th

Arsenal v Man Utd on 12th

Arsenal v Bayern Munich on 19th

When the draw for R16 of the Champions League was made, I wrote Arsenal off.

They won\’t beat Bayern Munich over two legs.

Forget Europe, concentrate on the title.

What could damage Arsenal is a loss of confidence caused by Pep Guardiola\’s team of proven winners, who I strongly fancy to retain the Champions League.

Bottom line, Wenger has changed in the last year. He’s owned up. We’ve all been impressed by the determination of this team, by their solid and consistent defending.

That solidity, which depends a lot on the leadership of Mertesacker and Flamini, has been the basis of their results so far.

If you don\’t concede, you can always score a late goal.

Theo Walcott needed to contribute when he came back into the team. And he\’s doing that with five goals in his last five games.

After 20 games, Arsenal are top of the table.

18 to go with a squad that looks capable of winning most of their remaining18 games.

2013-14 has been an exceptionally interesting season so far.

And Arsenal have been the most impressive side for the last five months.
