Anthony Martial, the new Gareth Bale, should be playing in a dynamic team

Manchester United beat Stoke 3-0.

Jesse Lingard’s diving header  in 14 minutes was, at last, a goal in the first half for the Red Devils.

Martial made it 2-0 in 23.

Then, after Rooney had a good goal disallowed for bumping Glen Johnson shoulder-to-shoulder in the box, Martial gave Wayne a sublime pass for a tap-in at the far post in 53.

Anthony Martial is a two-footed forward who can slice through any defence.

He’s very technical but also a powerhouse, a speed-machine.

For footballers as fast as Martial, the distance between the halfway line and the penalty area is …..nothing

Unfortunately , he’s playing in a team that’s full of old midfielders who can’t run or give him an early ball when he needs it.

And for a manager who wants the ball passed sideways and backwards.

Martial is an electrifying matchwinner whose talents are being wasted.

He’s young but not moody.

He’s strong and focused and cool and willing to take a kick to score.

He can destroy defences on his own, plays well with Rooney, and makes it all look so easy.

ANTHONY MARTIAL IS A SUPERSTAR.

He is the new Gareth Bale and should be playing in a high-energy team who play a penetrating style of football.

Spurs maybe. Or Leicester.

Martial would have been phenomenal in the Arsenal teams of 1998 or 2002 or 2004.
