Vardy, Kane & Dele Alli send Arsenal down to 4th

Jamie Vardy scored the volley of the season with a dipping thunderbolt over Mignolet.

Before that I thought the most telling moment was in 55, when Mahrez tried to run away from Emre Can. But he couldn’t and Can took the ball off him.

Five minutes later, Mahrez hit a 62-yard pass from deep in centrefield and Vardy chased it like a two legged greyhound. As the ball dropped from a  great height it bounced eight feet in  the air and slightly away from where Vardy wanted it.

So the Premier League’s most electric predator adjusted his feet sharply to synchronise his stride with where the ball was going to be, and then lashed a dipping shot over Mignolet and under the bar.

WOW! His first goal from Leicester from outside the box.

Reverting to type, Vardy scored his second  from close range, arrowing onto a deflected shot like a missile to make it Leicester 2 Liverpool 0.

Jurgen Klopp said,”I was close to klap my hands, to be honest.”

In Norwich, Dele Alli scored after two minutes at and Spurs won 3-0.

Harry Kane hit the post twice and scored two goals.

One of his goals was a penalty. The award was harsh, given that Dele Alli did not appeal for a penalty because he had touched the ball before defender Bassong touched him.

Goalkeeper Frazer Forster has made such a difference, coming back for Southampton.

Last night made the saves that got Koeman’s Saints a 0-0 draw at the Emirates.

Arsenal have gone three games without a goal. Their worst run for 21 months.

They’ve now slipped to fourth, below Spurs on goal difference, and five points behind Leicester.

When Sanchez came back, I thought Arsenal would score more goals than before, not dry up.
