Why Manchester City’s automatic is on a level unseen in Premier League

 From Rhys Jaggar:
The man the supine Press handed the 2017 title to in September 2016, only to see Antonio Conte et al rip it away, has come back to set standards never yet seen in the EPL this season.
They murdered Spurs at Wembley, certainly something to give Daniel Levy something to think about. Then Utd gave WBA some dignity to hand over the trophy.
What I saw Barcelona do at the Emirates in 2010 he has City doing in spades. 11 players functioning like a well-oiled machine. When one player moves, four or five react to maintain shape. The intensity to regain the ball is astonishing. De Bruyne, Silva, Sane have all been god-like all season. Ederson, Sterling, Aguero, Jesus, Walker excellent.
Congratulations to Guardiola and City: a proper football team, a seriously ambitious ownership.
Arsenal? An old house which stood still as father time passed by.
Look at Oxlade at Liverpool…..spanking in a screamer against City in UCL quarter final. Benefiting under Klopp. Will Aaron Ramsey stay or will he go?
What happens if Burnley finish 6th and Atletico win the Europa League?
This reminds me of capitalist builders leaving a building to decay, unfit for anything, until the building is condemned and knocked down to make builders profits. Years of wasted time hidebound by an inflexible system.
It is scary when you hear stories that they might buy Mbappe. I guess they will keep buying until they win the Champions League.
Myles says:

I thought Pochettino picked the wrong team against City on Saturday. Wrote a piece about that but didn’t have time to finish it.

Kevin De Bruyne has been my favourite player for the last three years. And he’s improved a lot during 2017 and 2018.

Teams that win the Champions League do so by gradually acquiring the crucial experiences you face in ultra-tense semi-finals. They’re able to keep their nerve and navigate the difficult moments, as Juventus did against Spurs.

One of the reasons Man City are so far ahead of Arsenal is that their automatic is much more penetrating than Arsenal’s automatic. City don’t just use their skills to play at a very high speed.

They attack areas from which goals can be scored and keep attacking those areas ferociously. So nobody can match their urgency and nobody can beat them.

Apart from Klopperpool.
