Usmanov blames Kroenke for Arsenal stagnation

Bloomberg revealed today that the only director Usmanov talks to is Chips Keswick.

Remarkably, the billionaire, who was eventually given a table in the dining room next to the toilets, has suggested that Wenger should help to choose his successor.

Usmanov thinks continuity and stability will be needed in a transitional period.

“Some continuity is needed,” said Usmanov. “This includes the need to prepare a successor for Wenger, but in a very respectful way. I can suggest that Wenger himself can prepare a successor.”

Continuity is usually good business practice, of course.

But this is an abnormal situation because Wenger has been allowed to accrue an abnormal amount of power.

So much so that King Wenger thinks he is the club.

Myself, I agree that Kroenke is the problem.

And I don’t believe Arsenal can move forward while most of the shares belong to him.

$ilent $tan is the biggest issue and the biggest negative.

Many years ago Ivan Gazidis said that the club’s two main assets are the stadium and Wenger.

That was true when he said it.

But the past is ancient history and largely irrelevant to the 2017 Arsenal emergency.
