Most of us realised that Leicester were more interested in Wednesday’s Champions League date with Atletico Madrid and that ‘s why I was so sure Everton would win.
On Saturday I’d backed Son, Dele Alli and Eriksen to score at any time against Watford.
After Son made it 1-0, I backed Spurs to score the next goal.
When Dele Alli made it 2-0, I won two bets with one shot.
And recalled backing Dele to score two against Chelsea at the Lane. He powered in two headers.
Eriksen played well on Saturday in a 4-0 victory and right back Trippier’s crossing is the best since Beckham’s.
But my weekend was ruined because we were invited to a christening in the Ukrainian cathedral in Mayfair and I couldn’t go.
Jan came home during the Tottenham game and told me all about it.
The baby boy, now seven months, didn’t mind being repeatedly sprinkled with water and didn’t cry once. He just looked around at everything, totally fascinated by the proceedings.
