From Fabian Thomas :Fellaini was indeed magnificent
Dear Myles,
Your old saying, “My Brazilians are better than yours” is not true anymore.
Belgium has invaded the Premier League.
The question is now more “Do you have your Belgian?”
The first day of Premier League can be summarised with the Belgian performances:
– Fellaini runs through Man U (who is one of the only club without a Belgian).
– Hazard walked around Wigan
– Vermaelen and Mingolet could only help to keep the 0-0.
– Dembele and his team destroyd Norwich
– WBA could count on Lukaku to finish off poor Liverpool
– Villas-Boa made the awful choice of leaving Vertongen on his bench and paid the price for it.
More seriously, coming back on Everton, I’m really interested in seeing what Kevin Mirallas will be able to do.
He was crap in Ligue 1 but magnificent in Greece.
Seems like he has grown up and his speed, goals and technique could be a new weapon for Everton. A player to watch.
Keep up the good work.
Kind regards.
Myles says :
Eden Hazard had a good debut at Wigan and was even better against Reading last night. He mugged a dopey defender in each game to win a penalty and Lampard converted twice with typical professionalism.
Maybe Lampard will only score penalties now. Right back Ivanovic scored in open play in both games, so Ivanovic looks like the new Lampard.
After being 2-1 down at home last night, Chelsea beat Reading 4-2 but their third goal, a Torres tap-in, was offside.
