No Sturridge in Liverpool line-up for the 12.45pm kick-off :
Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Lucas, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana, Origi.
Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Allen, Ibe, Sinclair, Teixeira, Randall.
Tottenham: Lloris(capt), Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Alli, Dembele; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Davies, Trippier, Wimmer, Clinton, Townsend, Winks.
With the clumsy Sakho at centreback, Liverpool are not gonna keep a clean sheet. I’m 90% sure of that.
So it looks like my safest bet is BTS: both teams to score.
Big chance for Divock Origi, the 20-year old Belgian who was signed from Lille in July 2014.
With Danny Ings out all season, Origi will have to learn quickly. But he’s up against very experienced Belgian centrebacks, in Vertonghen and Alderweireld.
I’m a big fan of the lively, honest Coutinho, and also rate Milner. Been keen to see Emre Can in midfield because I think he can play. And I reckon Klopp can do big things with Can.
I’m also a huge Harry Kane fancier.
In a high-energy game of tackles, spills, fouls and mistakes, Kane is more likely to be the matchwinner than anyone else
SO HERE WE ARE AGAIN!
The Premier League is back for the first time since Arsenal thrashed Liverpool 3-0.
Watford v Arsenal is on Sky at 5.30pm.
3pm : Final score : Spurs 0 Liverpool 0
And Sakho made some good tackles, blocks and interceptions.
