Brazil 3 Ivory Coast 1
Fabiano 25, 50, Elano 62, Drogba 79
What a slag that man is!
Good football match ruined by a cheat’s malicious theatrics.
The French referee, Stephane Lannoy, didn’t see what happened. His assistant didn’t react. How can he give a second yellow card for something he did not see?
With the ball long gone, Keita ran into Kaka’s shoulder, accidentally on purpose, and then fell holding his face.
In the first World Cup played in Africa, is it too much to expect sportsmanship from African players?
Has Keita no respect for the World Cup? Has he no respect for Brazilian footballers? Has he no respect for the Ivorian nation or the shirt he is wearing? The game was over. Brazil had won 3-1 and there were four minutes of normal time left.
FIFA have to review that decision. They should rescind Kaka’s red card and ban Keita from the tournament.
Kaka should be allowed to play against Portugal on Friday at 3pm.
Two lovely assists by Kaka.
First goal, he slips Luis Fabiano through on the right and Fabiano blasts high inside the near post. It’s textbook centre forward play, a thunderous shot gave the keeper no chance
Second goal, Luis Fabiano, the guv’nor of controlling awkward balls, spun and poked in his second goal. A replay showed handball. A second replay showed an earler handball. He got away with both. His chest control was with his bicep, in fact. But I didn’t see it until the replay.
Kaka broke beautifully on the left and cut the ball back for Elano to slot from seven yards with his left foot.
Then Drogba, onside, glanced in an excellent cross from Yaya Toure to make it 3-1.
