The story doing the rounds on Monday night :
Ashley Cole arrived the training ground on Monday morning and complained of stomach pains and saw the doctor and had a row with David Dein and left Colney an hour after he arrived.
This saga gets more squalid by the day and Ashley Cole is obviously in a very agitated state. It's very messy, very unedifying. It is sickening for fans, and it is boring for the poor hacks who have to write about it.
England flopped in the World Cup, so the England players should be seeking to rehabilitate themselves by training, playing and behaving in an ultra-professional manner.
I've said for a long time that Ashley Cole could not have been injured all last season, with only a metatarsal.
He had other injuries, or so we were told, but I think we were conned. He could have played, I'm sure, but I reckon he only cared about the World Cup, not Arsenal. He is a berk, a wally, a bad example to young footballers.
If Ashley Cole ever comes back to the Emirates to play for Chelsea against Arsenal, I want to be there. Because the hate-mob will be a lot worse than Sol Campbell going back to the Lane after signing for Arsenal.
In other news, a Ghana World Cup centreback is on trial at Arsenal.
Shilla Illiasu is 22.
He played the second half against Italy, when Ghana lost 2-0.Then he started against Czech Republic, a 2-0 win, and USA, a 2-1 win, so Ghana reached the last 16.
Then he played in the 3-0 defeat by Brazil.
So he is a young defender who had a decent World Cup.
Four games without a booking.
