From Nicole : what is Stan’s love?
Dear Myles,
But will Stan still love him when the ground (definitely boxes and Club Level I would have thought, and possibly the ground as a whole) doesn’t sell out next season?
And when he sees what a successful team could be creating in terms of commercial success, like Man U?
(I do realise that there is a lot more to the power of their commercial juggernaut than on-field success, but that is a key part of it).
I think that the Board has misjudged people’s unhappiness and have pushed their “thrift” one year too far, with too many bridges left to build to be able to rely on fans blindly paying out from now on.
Now what was it that Jack Nicholson’s character in As Good As It Gets said about people who talk in metaphors … sorry!
From Brendan :Tomáš Rosický
Hi Myles,
I’m sharing this video with you because it’s mesmerising to see how influential Tomáš Rosický was in that match on Saturday.
I think it’s safe to say he won the game.
The headed clearance, keeping an almost certain goal out, the belief from that, then making sure that Gervinho’s moment of brilliance ended up as a goal, then taking a great shot and showing the instincts of a great striker to follow up and get the second. Also watching the video, look how Rosický cares.
He really, really does – it’s not fake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuO-28tVsOo
Quite honestly, I have a severe dose of manlove for the stylish Czech right now..
One of those players who, given slightly different circumstances would have been up there among the best in the world.
Wenger is very lucky to have a player like him, who cares.
