Barcelona conceded in 23 seconds but won 3-1 in Madrid tonight.
On the night, Real Madrid’s 15 consecutive victories meant nothing
Puyol, Iniesta and Sanchez were superb & Messi had a good second half.
Cristiano Ronaldo was rubbish again.
He can’t do it against Barcelona but, at the first time of asking, Alexis Sanchez, the ex-Udinese winger, showed that he’s an explosive animal but also a good continuity player.
Sanchez didn’t play right wing, as I expected, but he’s a warrior who can swap fast short passes with Messi in tight positions in the front third. He scored a fabulous equalising goal.
Most players as combative as Sanchez are not as controlled, as temperamentally sound, as this guy. If he plays like this, he could be the difference in the key games.
Barca are now top on the same points as Real, who have a game in hand.
Loved the game. Plenty to say about it. But that will have to wait. I’ll write it up tomorrow. It’s too late now. Looks like the Amir Khan fight won’t start for hours, so I’m gonna crash out now….
On Monday I’ll do Arsenal & Premier League. G’night !
