Why Arsenal will drop to fifth

From Goonergerry : Arsenal will be 5th at the end of the season.

Chelsea are the most confident, capable side in the EPL, able to raise their game when it matters, and Liverpool are a close second, getting better.

Man City are a team of very good individuals with an exceptional CF.

Man Utd are still a very strong attacking side even if not fully firing, and Spurs are not far behind with a very good young manager.

Spurs have been occasionally able to raise themselves to a more intensive level than Arsenal are capable of.

This was clearly evident when we played them recently when they overran us in midfield to an embarrassing extent. Spurs did to Chelsea earlier in the season what Arsenal are just not capable of under Wenger.

Arsenal ‘s midfield does not appear able to control any game any more.

Arsenal, at our very best (occasionally) are able to thrash poor sides at home but can’t defeat EPL’s best anywhere when it really matters.

We can be dangerous if the opposition completely ignores our strengths and over-commits to attack and gets caught on the counter.

Top sides will not make that mistake when they play us.

In the remaining games Arsenal will lose to United, Chelsea and Liverpool  in the remaining “clutch” games.

When have Sanchez and Ozil delivered in these games?
Fifth place is where we deserve to be, taking the season as a whole.

Myles says:

People who say I’m harsh haven’t read you , Gerry!

Watching Liverpool I see young players improving rapidly, playing 25% better than they did a month ago. I believe that Henderson, Raheem, Coutinho and Ibe will excite me in March and April

Sturridge  looks very relaxed but sharper, more reliable.
