That’s the saddest league table ever, Myles!

From Michael Budgen:

Premier League manager table after 21 games:

1. Antonio Conte 52
2. Mauricio Pochettino 45
3. Jurgen Klopp 45
4. Arsene Wenger 44
5. Pep Guardiola 42
6. Jose Mourinho 40
7. Ronald Koeman 33

Where would that 7 feature in a top 10 of current managers ?

Why is there no British manager in that sequence ?

Will Ferguson be the last title-winning Brit ?

And the saddest thing is the highest-placed Brit is the repugnant Pulis, whilst the Brits occupy 2 out of 3 relegation places, and the other, Hull, got there under an Englishman’s steam !

Why is that ? Why have our coaches learnt nothing from the last 20 years?

Would a Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe thrive at one of those 7 clubs?

Myles says:

I don’t know, Michael.

Not yet. Too inexperienced.

I’ve heard that Uefa coaching badges cost £12,000 in the UK but only £800 in Spain.

IS THAT TRUE? Does anybody know?

So Spain has far more good coaches than us.

In the UK professional football is a paranoid small world where managers and coaches hire their mates and shut the door and hope for the best.

Kevin Keegan was a pied piper for Geordies.

I was serious when I said: Jurgen Klopp is Kevin Keegan with qualifications.
