Sol to Arsenal, Teddy to Spurs

By Myles Palmer

That’s my guess for tomorrow’s 1pm press conference at White Hart Lane.

Arsene has always fancied Sol Campbell, who was offered £80,000 a week to stay at Spurs. But it’s about ambition.

Sol wants to play in the Champions League. Simple as that. He wants a crack at Valencia and Lazio and Bayern Munich. And who can blame him?

He can improve a lot at Arsenal. And it will be a huge thrill for him to play in an exciting team who try to win every game. His career has been in the doldrums for years now.

Every since the unbelievable, unreliable Daily Mail said this morning that Sol was going to Liverpool, I was sure he was going to Arsenal.

A wise choice, my son !

We wondered why his agent Sky Andrew was on the Arsenal plane to Cardiff with the directors. It sure as hell wasn’t because Sky is also Jermaine Pennant’s agent.

Spurs bring back Teddy?

Next week they will bring back Steve Archibald and Garth Crooks. And Mark Falco. And Martin Chivers.
