Sterling/Van Persie/Schneiderlin/ Schweinsteiger

At Manchester City, Raheem Sterling won’t be starting every game.

Unless he hits the ground running and starts playing out of his skin .

Do we think £44m + £5m in add-ons is a lot for a 20-year-old who scored 7 goals last season with 7 assists?

Yes, of course.

But any transfer is a gamble and English talent is very expensive because there is so little of it.

As I’ve said previously, Liverpool should have trebled his wages before he went to Brazil with England in the summer of 2014.

Robin van Persie is in Istanbul and about to sign a three-year deal with Fenerbahce.

I hope they have a good players to give him nice passes.

He won’t be playing with Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Thierry Henry or Wayne Rooney.

At Man City, Raheem looks luckier.

He won’t be playing with Luis Suarez and Stevie G but he will be playing with two phenomenal talents, David Silva and Kun Aguero.

Raheem is good enough to play with them and prosper in this Citeh team.

I REALLY BELIEVE THAT.

Manchester United have paid big money for experience.

They’ll pay  £24m for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, 25, and £15m for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, 30, who has been at Bayern Munich for the last 17 years.

Wenger’s scouts used to watch the Frenchman almost every week when he joined the Saints.

Schneiderlin is a very accomplished tactical anchorman and a lot better than Arteta or Flamini. He might soon be starting every match for France.

King Louis Van Gaal is expected to do well in the Champions League, where he needs to score goals without conceding them.

The German can help with that and LVG will want Basti to be fit and available for all of United’s Champions League games.

If United progress to the quarter finals the Bayern legend could be back in Munich quite soon.
