Burnley 0 Arsenal 1
Koscielny 90+3
This game was so academic and tedious that I kept switching over to the Ryder Cup.
So you probably know more about it than I do .
First half, as Burnley defended narrow in a 4-4-2, I thought Arsenal might eventually win 1-0 or 2-0.
But Burnley had a couple of good chances.
After watching Spurs beat Man City 2-0 in a thriller, this was very tame stuff.
While I could once I could happily watch three matches in a day, watching two is now a stretch. It’s only possible if the second is more engaging than the first.
Just as it seemed that Burnley had secured the point their efforts deserved, Arsenal scored.
A corner on the right was flicked on and Oxlade’s shot, which was going over the bar, went in off Koscielny’s elbow!
Referee Craig Pawson allowed a “goal” that was offside and handball.
Bottom line: we were watching two managers with different jobs.
Arsene Wenger’s job is to win the title.
Sean Dyche’s job is to stay up.
In resources, Arsenal are in a different league and always will be.
