From Scott Sheldon
Myles,
I do hope that Ivan really shows his worth now that the Wenger has gone
Yes, Ivan does like living in St Johns Wood but Gordon Singer, who is the son of Paul SInger and who runs Elliott in London, lives 2 roads away from Ivan and they both have kids at the American School in St Johns Wood where I am sure a number of very good deals are done !
Anyway let us hope that it is much ado about nothing, as I believe that Team Arsenal will invigorate the club and the fan base
What a pleasure that the bulk of the transfer business has been done early.
I can never understand not having all your players for a pre-season so that they can work together, make no mistake , Arsenal need more work than any other team on the training ground.
Love reading your blog!

Myles says:
Thanks, Scott. When this heatwave ends, I hope to deserve your enthusiasm.
Doing business early must be good for ticket sales.
Lucas Torreira, signed from Sampdoria, could be the most influential of the new players. Sometime you get a gut feeling about a player. Torreira could prove to be the best £26.4 million Arsenal have spent in the 21st century.
Didn’t Wenger fail with a deadline day £90m bid for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar in late January? That was a ridiculous idea at the time. Even more so in the light of what’s happened since.
