Ivan Gazidis and the FA Cup do a Q&A in 13 days time

When Ivan Gazidis joined Arsenal, I set up an Google Alert on him, so I could keep track of what he was doing.

That was years ago.

But I never killed that Alert, so still get them.

Today a Gooner friend tells me Ivan is doing a Q & A on June 4th.

That AISA event is Wednesday at 7pm till 8.30.

Will 90 minutes be long enough?

Or will it go to extra-time?

The FA Cup will be there. Ivan\’s first Arsenal trophy.

The CEO will be photographed with the FA Cup.

And so will some fans, so I\’m looking forward to seeing those.

(Don’t be too silly with it, guys. And girls.)

I can’t be there, as it’s Jan’s birthday .

But my question for the FA Cup would be: “Where the hell have you been since 2005?”

Reminds me of an aside from George Graham, I think it came up in one of our one-on-one interviews. But I\’m not sure, as this was a long time ago.

It was summer and the Arsenal first team squad were having the pre-season photograph taken and it was the usual thing.  Players seated on chairs in the front row, manager sitting in the middle, and the five tallest players standing behind the manager to make it a tidy composition, not too ragged visually.

As this annual photo was about to be taken, George had a feeling that something wasn\’t quite right. He couldn\’t quite put his finger on it, so he spoke to Stewart Houston.

“There\’s something missing. What is it?”

“There\’s no trophy, boss. We didn\’t win one last season.”

The team photo I’m talking about wasn’t this one.
