If board keep Wenger for 2 more years, it’s for his spin, not his coaching

Wenger has left the country.

That is truly a blessing.

But the old dictator still controls the narrative and still clings to power, as we always knew he would.

If the real story of Arsene FC was put on as a West End stage play, it would run for longer than The Mousetrap.

I revealed recently that AW plans to sell Ozil & Sanchez and rebuild the squad.

THAT IS NOW THE PLAN.

But who cares who he buys? He can’t coach, he can’t inspire, he’s lost the team.

Germany honour Lucas Podolski tonight by bringing him back to play against England in Dortmund.

It’s virtually a testimonial for a striker who has scored 48 goals for Europe’s most successful national, team.

Did Podolski think Wenger’s coaching culture was pathetic?

Yesterday I didn’t think about football because I was too busy.

Pilates class at 9.35 and Ros & Jo coming here for lunch with Jan and then I ran out to meet our friend Annette at the Barbican and took her to a fantastic gig at the Lever Gallery.

Which I will report later this week.

Jo and Annette have both been to Cuba recently.

Jo fears for the island while Annette, there in December, is more optimistic.
