Good Arsenal news : Jack Wilshere has signed his new contract

Delighted to report that Britain’s most exciting young footballer has signed a new deal with Arsenal.

Jack was recently the most popular name for boy babies. It’s been superceded now by two other boy’s names. The player will make his comeback soon and the name could make a big comeback next year. London & the Home Counties could see a summer of Jacks.

Yes, it’s a great shame that Jack Wilshere was suspended for three games.

But it’s better for a player to be suspended than injured. He can still train and practice. When he’s injured, you don’t know when he’ll come back. You can’t plan round an injured footballer coming back because it’s almost impossible to say when he’ll be fit again.

Jack Wilshere adds bite and creativity to this Arsenal team. He can speed the game up or slow it down, as required. He’s popular. And he’s improving all the time.

Long-time ANR readers will know that I very rarely slaughter midfield players for being booked or sent off. It goes with the territory. However good you are, you’ll go for a ball and sometimes miss it, kicking your opponent. Sometimes he’ll kick you in the same way. That’s football. Sometimes the ref will send off a player who does not deserve a red card. That’s football too.

On this occasion, Jack sent himself off. I think he will learn from it. That’s only a guess. But I think he’ll learn from it.

No more to say, really. Good news that AFC has secured the services of JW.
