Speculation is finished ! Kaput !
That’s sorted then ! Nobody can take over the club.
Danny Fiszman, responding to much ill-informed speculation, has issued a statement saying he will keep his shares for the forseeable future.
“The Board is a strong unit; we are the custodians of this Club. In April we entered into an agreement not to dispose of our interests for at least one year with the intention retaining our interests thereafter. In short, I have no intention of selling my shares in Arsenal for the foreseeable future. There are exciting times ahead with the team showing so much promise, we are energised by what the future holds. I hope now that my position is absolutely clear.”
Danny has issued this statement now to assuage any uncertainty supporters may have. He said he has been a director for the last 15 years and those experiences meant a lot to him and continue to mean a lot to him.
It seems to be an emphatic statement and a welcome one.
He says, “The Club has experienced many successes both on and off the pitch in that time and being part of the Arsenal family is something that is not only in my mind but also in my heart. I, together with the rest of the Board, take great pride in the fact that Emirates Stadium is our home and great pleasure in the exciting, entertaining football that the team plays.”
Thanks for that, Danny !
But, in the whacky world of football, how long is “the forseeable future” ?
