From Jeremy :Fabregas
I was one of the Arsenal faithful who couldn’t believe we passed up the chance to bring Fabregas back to the Gunners last summer.
However, I seem to recall that one of the reasons Barcelona sold him was because of the dip in his performance in the second half of every season (or so they claimed).
He’s had one or two quiet games recently, Tuesday being the latest.
I just wondered whether there may be something in it? Discuss.
Myes says:
Fabregas should not have been on the pitch against PSG in Paris.
That wasn’t the real Chelsea but somehow they got away with it.
They bluffed a 1-1 draw and the second leg is bound to be dramatic..
Mourinho explained it later when he revealed his preparation:
“Since the Everton game, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Fà bregas and Ivanovic didn\’t train. They did some individual training to try and keep running and moving, but they didn\’t play a full part in training.Â
“They came out to training on Monday because they wanted to show they were ready. They tried to give their best but Fà bregas has had three days in bed with a high temperature and there were injured guys without training … We felt that a little in the second half, when Paris were closer to winning the game than Chelsea.”
Myself, I don’t think Chelsea are anything like the team they were seven or eight weeks ago.
But they WILL win the title.
On Fabregas, I don’t have enough data on his alleged dips.
I thought Liverpool made him run too fast and that caused his hamstring.
On the Fabregas back-story, you must have missed my exclusive on what really went down at Barcelona.
