Does a Hill-Wood-Kroenke meeting make sense?

I'm worried about the way Arsenal is being run.

Chairman Peter Hill-Wood says he's off to see Stan Kroenke, if he can get an appointment in 2-3 weeks.

If he doesn't meet Kroenke, it will be embarrassing.

If he does, what's to say?

A meeting between Kroenke and Danny Fiszman would make far more sense, since Stan owns 12 % of the club and Danny owns 24%.

Clearly, Hill-Wood is a mere emissary, a front man sent to the USA by Fiszman, who wants to avoid Kroenke because the American is allegedly in league with the sacked David Dein, who has 14 % .

In the absence of a Fiszman-Kroenke meeting, a tete-a-tete between Kroenke and Arsene Wenger might make sense, but that will not happen any time soon, if ever.

At the end of May 2007, this is where we are : Arsenal are sending the chairman, who is a minor shareholder, to meet an investor who IS a major shareholder, and have sent the manager to Madrid to see if he can unload expensive winger Jose Reyes, who has been on loan at Real Madrid, to Athletico Madrid, or some other Spanish club.

Hill-Wood's mission is one he has been obliged to pursue by the Arsenal Supporters Trust and others. His stated position is: "I want to hear what you have to say, but we are alright as we are."

If Arsenal are alright as they are, why fly to Denver to meet Stan Kroenke? If Arsenal are alright as they are, why sack David Dein? If Arsenal are alright as they are, why make an agreement between the directors not to sell the club for a year ?

If Hill-Wood doesn't meet Kroenke, and Arsenal don't sign a player the fans have heard of, it will be an embarrassing summer for Gooners.
