Comments on Jonny’s Open Letter to Arsene

From Steve G : Couldn’t agree more

Your post is absolutely spot on! Theo has to be central.

Without a commanding center back to partner Vermaelen, a real defensive midfielder and maybe a skillfull winger or two, we will continue our rollercoaster ride. How can Arshavin be so unfit? He is a luxury we cannot afford. I also wonder how Clichy’s performance would improve with support from a decent and fit Arshavin replacement?

Jonny, we’ll said, I couldn’t agree more. You’ve got it spot on.  However, I think you should copy and paste your comments into a proper letter and forward it on to the club. I’ll be doing something similar.

From Stuart H : Open Letter

I could not agree more with your letter. Our manager likes to look at his players through rose-tinted glasses. It is embarrassing and now Wenger is beginning to look a fool. He needs a large dose of reality to see our issues or he needs to move upstairs.

Louis Nosworthy : My comment on the Open Letter

I am sad to say I agee with most of those sentiments. It is just so frustrating knowing we are so close to greatness and yet also knowing that we are being denied that greatness by the narrow minded arrogance of the person who created the situation in the first place and to whom we owe so much. We are so so close but I fear our huge potential will never be realised.

From Saudigooner : Thanx

Thank you for saying what we all want and hope he gets the message.

From Nandakumar : Open Letter to Arsene

Myles Palmer is 100% correct in his assessment of Arsene Wenger. Though a long term (40 years) fan and supporter of Arsenal Football Club, I am frustrated to see the club being regularly bullied to defeat at home and away for the past 5 years. The manager is clueless and stubborn to the very core and blames others
(including the football pitch) for the shoddy and gutless performance of his players! The players on their part are mercenaries ,all sytle and no substance and have no pride playing for AFC.
I request AFC fans based in UK to band together and force the Management to terminate Wenger’s contract with immediate effect and appoint a British Coach/Manager in his place who will oversee the transition of AFC into a solid football team who play with guts, passion and pride and win trophies in the immediate future.

From Clement : Open Letter

I love this. You said nearly everything I had in my heart. I just don’t agree on Clichy, Since the hosting of Arshavin on the left flank, Clichy suffers a lot with a lazy player in front of him (Ljungberg and reyes gone, Rosicky not playing there anymore).

I agree the coach is not a tactician. 4-3-3 is not working with these players and yet he sticks with it. He has no balls to drop some big name players but instead try to accommodate them in a rubbish system.

Dear Myles,

I agree with some of the summarised comments that you have share in your recent articles, especially the article posted on 14 December, written by a seasonticket holder and shareholder.

I have been gunned down for echoing similar thoughts.

Some people are simply too blind to see that AW is taking this club nowhere.

Tom James : Time for change!

I think the time has come for changes. For too long now I have watched the team I love & support for 20 years, massively under perform. We all know what the problem is & which players need to be shown the door but the main man in charge is too proud to accept he has made mistakes & sort it out. We need to unite as one & let our feelings be known. I’m not going to sit by & take this anymore!

From Neil Shreeve : reply to Rosenblatt email

Dear Mr Rosenblatt

Good riddance to bad rubbish!  Mr Wenger is going nowhere which in regards to the ending of your email must mean you are.  Hooray!

If you were a  true fan who in the not too distant past had been watching the likes of David Hillier, Eddie McGoldrick and Jimmy Carter in our midfield, then perhaps you wouldn’t make smarmy uneducated quips like your pedantically tedious email to your best-bud Myles (who by the way will ONLY print emails that attack Arsenal).

I speak on behalf of every true Arsenal fan and true season-ticket holder (because I believe the only season-ticket you own is the one to your armchair) that we are delighted you are parting company from the club because the club does not need blind fools like you.

We lost to United.  We didn’t play well.  But had Chamakh tapped in the easy chance, you wouldn’t write your email, which proves how pathetic your condemnation is.  And when we’re top at the weekend by beating Stoke as United & Chelsea draw, you’ll probably change your tune again – until the next defeat that is.

Oh wait, I forgot, you’re parting company.

Best regards & don’t come back.
