Chelsea won’t be champions,Myles/ Look at Conte’s CV!

From Colin Bruce Shanner : So now Chelsea will be champions?

Whoa there cowboy, you’ve lost the plot again.

After Manure beat Bournemouth early doors you lionized Zlatan, Pogba, and the rubbish one, and then proceeded to declare them champions.

You continue to rave about the magnificent Pochettino, who has won sod all.

Chelsea will have another bad patch and won’t be champions.

Myles says:

You could be right, Colin.

But I don’t remember saying Man Utd would be champions.

I still rate Zlatan, whose technical command is undiminished.

Pogba is improving every month and could soon decide one match in four.

While Pochettino has won nothing yet, Antonio Conte is 47 and a serial winner.

A tenacious & versatile midfielder for Juventus,  he won Serie A titles in 1995,1997, 1998, 2002 and 2003.

Five league titles plus a Coppa Italia in 1995.

He also won the Uefa Cup in 1993 and the Champions League in 1996.

Taking over as Juventus coach in May 2011, Conte led them to three league titles on the bounce in 2012, 2013, and  2014 – and two Italian Super Cups.

So he’s played at the highest level, played with great players against great players.

Conte knows what it takes to win the biggest trophies in football.

In Euro 2016 his Italy beat Belgium 2-0, won their Group, beat Spain 2-0 in the Round of 16,then faced Germany in the QF.

A tight game finished 1-1 and went to penalties with the Germans winning 6-5.

As far as I’m concerned, Conte has proven himself.

He’s been there and done it as a footballer, Colin, and as a manager.

As a very wise man, Roman poet Virgil, once said, “Trust one who has done it.”
