Tomorrow night we’ll see half a match.
It’s a three-hour Champions League tie with the second half being played in the Nou Camp, where last year Lionel Messi scored four goals as Barcelona won 4-1.
We’re told that Barcelona are tired and scared of Theo Walcott.
They play a very high line and depend on pressing to protect their high back line, which means they could be vulnerable to the left wing raids of Clichy and the right wing raids of Walcott, who can also explode down the middle.
It’s a big opportunity for Theo.
And it’s an even bigger chance for rookie keeper Wojciech Szczesny. What a night for him. What a huge night for a big, gobby Polish kid. I love Szczesny, hope he does well.
More tomorrow.
Off to the gym soon, hope I see Jamil.
Last week we were talking about Cairo, Mubarak and the CIA.
Jamil (laughing) : “I’d better shut up, I’ll be in Guantanamo.”
Myles (puts arm round his mate’s shoulder): “If you go to Guantanamo, I’ll come with you !”
Jamil : “We can read the Koran !”
Myles : “We could write a book together:Waterboarding And Other Political Sports!”
