Brazil’s golden oldies hungry for revenge against France

BRAZIL’S 3-0 win over Ghana will stay in history for the records were that were broken.

Cafu became the Brazilian player with more caps in the World Cup with 19 games so far, Adriano scored our 200th goal in World Cup Finals, and Ronaldo became the all- time top scorer of the tournament with 15 goals. The referees all look biased in favour of the fat cats of the world game.

As soon as the game finished the eyes of Brazilians turned to France-Spain, where the majority of nation supported “Les Bleus”, because the desire for revenge is strong here against France . Nobody has forgotten the defeats of ’86 and ’98, our darkest hour because nobody knows what really happened that Sunday.

But now is the time to think we can do better in the quarter-final game on Saturday.

Adriano left the stadium very angry and didn’t want to talk to any journalist. Even without Robinho his first team position is in danger because the team has looked better in shape without him in this competion.

Some critics in Brazil are calling Adriano and Ronaldo “The Twin Towers”.

We have always worried that one of Carlos Alberto Parreira’s favorite books is The FA Coaching Book of Soccer Tactics and Skills by Charlie Hughes.

Like his friend Graham Taylor, Parreira will receive a lot of abuse if Brazil do not win their three next games.
