From Rhys Jaggar : Brahimi video…
Technically, there’s no question he’s good enough.
Seems to have studied Zidane without modelling himself on him exactly (very sensible, as their physiques aren’t identical, after all): got the swivels and up-and-overs from the maestro but has wing-play from someone else entirely.
So I guess it comes down to physicality in the Premier League, whether he’d fit in in London and whether the fixers can get at him like they got at Chamakh.
Not to mention how he’d get on with Ozil and Giroud…..assuming that they were staying……and how he fits in with Sanchez, if he’s staying too…..I guess you could play 4-2-3-1 with the 3 being Brahimi-Ozil-Sanchez after all……
I guess also it comes down to whether he wants to be the star of a team in his prime or whether he wants to be an integral team member of a top side. He’d have to earn being the star at Arsenal right now…..
I guess it’s one way of playing hard ball with Liverpool over Raheem Sterling!!
But irrespective of that, he’s certainly worthy of detailed due diligence for £33m…….
From Pete Gill : Re Brahimi
£33m, 25 years of age, but not the real deal yet?
Behave yourself!
That’s a lot to pay for potential and YouTube could make most players look like Messi!!
Normally you would slaughter Wenger if he did a deal like this.
What gives? Are you on commission??
From Balthazar Florentin-Lee : re Yaciene Brahimi
Amazing balance and close control….penetration in spades.
Can he do this for 90 mins though?
If I were his dad I would say don’t go to England, some thug will say you disrespected him by being more skilful and break your leg….and playing for Arsenal, the ex Man U and Liverpool pundits will say you deserved it.

Myles says:
Humble bloggers, Pete, are not greedy agents – and never will be.
To suggest otherwise is extremely frivolous.
I’m merely saying that the Porto lad with the exotic name is a Wenger-type player with skills and pace.
Crucially, he’s a right-footed left winger, like Pires.
That suits a coach who doesn’t want his wide midfielders to cross the ball.
He wants them to hold it and pass it forward quickly and accurately.
