From Martin: The line is finally drawn
Best result for the future, as it draws a clear and definitive line under the past.
Leaving everyone with clear understanding as to why it was beyond time to move on.
This semi-final that clearly demonstrated where Arsenal are now. Anyone who watched will know exactly what I mean by that statement
To win the Europa somehow would have blurred the lines and would have been disabling to the new manager.
It’s now the clean break we needed and I’m glad it’s finally over.
As a fan I wanted the team to win and was willing some last-minute miracle. Always do for every game.
But once over I accepted the reality and the facts that are immediately there.
Looking forward to the new season immensely, even though we know it’s a 3 -year turnaround at least.
Not expecting to challenge . But great to see positive change at last.
As for Arsene, thank him for the golden years that culminated in the best team to ever represent the club in 2004.
But that was increasingly tainted as each stubborn year followed another.
It’s onwards now. Kind Regards.
