Expect some headlines tomorrow about Hoddle and Beckham.
The Spurs boss was asked about Beckham’s broken toe by ITV but refused to talk about it.
He also told the Spurs players not to talk about Beckham!
What a wally!
I’ve heard that Sven and Tord are not worried.
They think Becks is a quick healer and will be fit in four weeks, playing in five, and knocking free-kicks past Sweden on Sunday June 2.
So please don’t give me four weeks of daily updates about his foot !
Beckham will be fine, although he will miss Hampden on May 15th. If United beat Leverkusen and get there.
Middlesbrough v Arsenal on Sunday?
Don’t think I’ll do a preview later in the week because it’s Thursday, so it’s already later in the week.
There’s not much I can say about this game except that I’m not worried about winning it. I expect Arsenal to win it. Simple as that.
Steve McClaren is down to bare bones with Ince suspended and Carbone Cup-tied and Whelan and five others injured.
So Boro will sit deep around Ehiogu and Southgate and play a game of attrition and hope Boksic can conjure a goal out of nothing.
Or maybe Ehiogu can get a header at a set-piece.
The game won’t be spectacular.
Chelsea might hammer Fulham but I doubt if Arsenal can hammer Middlesbrough.
They might, since they are a superior team, but I believe it will be tight, maybe 2-1.
