Arsenal helped by soft fixture list.Let’s see in December

From Eric Wallace : run of form

The 18-game run is fine, but look at the fixture list.

We ended up playing none of the big teams  at the end of last year, other than a United team which had won the Premiership and weren’t bothered and a Bayern team who had already embarrassed us in the Champions League.

The start of this year has been as soft as one would wish for (and we got Spurs before they could learn each other’s names.)

Need to review in December, I think.

From Chris A : Re:WWWWWDWDWWWLWWWWWW

Numbers don’t lie…but people (often) do.

What’s the point of calling Arsenal’s impressive run ‘Championship-winning form’ if they only finished fourth last season (by a point)? Surely that must mean that it’s not championship winning form?

For us to turn what we started last season into real Championship winning form, a few more of those “W’s” need to come against the top 6-7 sides.

We are definitely looking hot this season though…but once again, patience is required – if i’m not mistaken, last season was probably the only season out of the last 6 where we didn’t have a very promising run towards the very top of the table.

Myles says:

Arsenal v Liverpool on November 2 will be harder than Stoke was.

Arsenal v Rooney & Van Persie on Nov 10 probably won\’t be a stroll in Finsbury Park either.

December 14 is Man City v Arsenal and City might be runaway league leaders by then.

And for Xmas you have Arsenal v Chelsea on December 21.

Myself, I\’d rather play Chelsea now while they\’re wobbling.
