ANR Mailbag: PSG /Monaco /Guardiola

From Michael Budgen: Norrie

” I saw a very underwhelming PSG two weeks ago lose to Monaco with – quelle surprise – Cavani missing a plethora of chances. They were there for the taking last night”

I assume you also noted the very different PSG line-ups from the two games then, or as it didn’t fit your narrative, you probably ignored it !

And if the 4th richest club in the world can only ‘afford’ Cavani, what chance us?

From Pete : Guardiola

I watched Man City v Man U, and felt utterly sick.

To think we could have had Guardiola playing  such  football, such brilliant football.  I know it is early days but if this continues who will stop them? Looking also at the current table, there is a long way to go, but already Spurs and Liverpool are ahead.

Fourth place will be mighty struggle, hello Europa  League.

Myles says

Man City will win the Premier League by Xmas.

On Wednesday night Guardiola admitted, “I am a demanding coach.”

We knew that, Pep!

From William Marshall : Guardiola is rather good you know

Hi Myles,

I think this season will be a repeat of last, swapping Guardiola for Leicester.

They’ll all wait to see if he can keep it up and eventually it will dawn beyond English condescension that he isn’t some fly-by-night that lucked upon inheriting the Barca side.

Good luck in Wengerland.

For my part it’s great being shot of him. Win or lose, I don’t care what he does.
