Flop season if patriotic Wenger doesn’t replace Giroud

Giroud won’t play for France in Euro 2016.

He won’t even be in the squad.

Arsenal need a fast, brave striker to play with Sanchez, who is still a sparky, hungry warrior.

Arsenal 0 Liverpool 0 wasn’t what I predicted.

I saw the teams and backed BTS.

Did that because Koscielny and Mertesacker were out and Chambers and Gabriel were in.

Then the excellent Ramsey scored an early goal that was wrongly disallowed.

Chambers wobbled and stuttered so much that I wondered if this would be his last game for the club.

By 25, Arsenal were getting comprehensively battered.

With  every minute that went by, Liverpool looked less respectful of the Arsenal players, sharper and more mobile, with left back Joe Gomez having another good game.

Arsenal were outplayed in the first half.

Because Liverpool defended fiercely all over the pitch.

While Arsenal’s style was hugely predictable, Liverpool’s was more varied.Milner worked well as a playmaker in a midfield that was missing regulars Henderson and Lallana. Some of his passes missed the mark but they sliced forward nicely into dangerous areas.

In 39, Cech stopped a Benteke stab that looked a certain goal.

By now Wenger had a face like thunder.

On 44, a Coutinho shot was tipped onto the post by Cech.

Early in the second half, Martin Tyler, still the king of the killer stat,  told us that Arsenal hadn’t lost  their first two home games since 1949 – and that was before Wenger was born.

AT HALF TIME I’d tweeted: At Arsenal, Coutinho is showing Dunga things that Kaka can no longer do. Since Ramsey’s wrongly disallowed goal, Liverpool have bossed it

Second half, Arsenal improved and Chambers did OK.

Gabriel, a big athlete with pace, should play every week.

The BFG is history and the BFB is learning zilch on the bench.

Wenger is so timid, so conservative, so over-concerned with his precious stability.

I’M NOT BUYING THAT ANY MORE.

In 49 minutes Martin said, “Giroud’s hardly had a touch in the game.”

Then Arsenal played a lot better and brought on subs.

But Liverpool remain unbeaten and have still not conceded  a goal in the Premier League.

At Palace, Arsenal were quite lucky to win 2-1.

VERDICT HERE: Shabby Arsenal lucky again.
