BREAKING NEWS: Van Gaal and Wenger both think 4th is a trophy

On Saturday night I had a horrible feeling.

I’d been looking forward to Man United v Arsenal for three weeks.

But now I’d started to feel that it will be a very dull game.

By Sunday I was still glum about it.
Thinking : I’m not really up for tomorrow night because I think it will be a game where neither team will really look capable of beating the other.

Of course, I hope it’s a pulsating battle
But if I was going to comment on Man United, I’d actually say the same thing that I say about Arsenal: I’ve lowered my expectations.

HOPE I’M WRONG.

If there’s a major difference between Man Utd and Arsenal, it might turn out to be De Gea.

On Monday morning I’m reminded that Van Gaal has won a trophy in each of his first season at every big club he’s managed.

King Louis is also saying that fourth is a trophy, if you are the manager of a big club.
He said, “Every match that you play has an influence on the next match.”
(One of my mantras is, “Every football match contains the previous match.”)

The two $64,000 Question at Old Trafford tonight is: has LVG made Manchester United’s style so constipated that Arsenal can finally win at Old Trafford.?

The $32,000 Question is: do both clubs really want two more games at Wembley?

The $16,000 Question is: Wayne Will Rooney score against Arsenal again?

Key fact: the FA Cup is the only club trophy Rooney has never won.
