From Leon: Arsene Wenger’s philosophy?
Good morning Myles,
I’m a long standing reader of ANR.
I find your opinion both informative and infuriating at times, a bit like the said Mr Wenger!
Anyway moving on to your challenge to answer questions from readers.
My question is a simple one really and one I hope you’ll think worthy of publishing especially because its my birthday today.
Like many long supporting and occasionally attending Gooners, I don’t understand Wenger’s philosophy on footballl or more importantly why he chooses not to explain it to Arsenal fans?
On one he wants FFP for clubs but is paid 7 million pounds a year, we are lead to believe.
Arsenal fans are paying some of the highest prices on the planet to watch a group of nice young men play mediocre football.
An attitude that was demonstrated in last season’s away fixture at United when both teams were in the tunnel, hugging and smiling at each other, as if it were some friendly pre- season love-in!
Bring back the snarling bone-crunching Arsenal with the poor disciplinary record that teams respected and feared in the tunnel!
I hope you can provide some answers Myles, even though I’m relaxing by the pool in Andalucia I’m frustrated by Wenger and his attitude towards the clubs fans.
Myles says:
No new answers,Leon, I’m afraid.
As Tony Adams says, Arsene thinks some things are beneath him.
Like free kicks, defending set-pieces and English life in general, I’d say.
Sounds like you’re having a fabulous time in Andalucia.
Just relax and improve your health and fitness whenever you can.
Health is more important than you realise.
My daughter had a heavenly time there a couple of months ago and showed us a photos of Murphy the bat swooping over the pool.
