ANR replies becoming weary & frivolous

From Sean McCawley : Signings !

Come on, Myles,

You can’t expect your readers to believe that Wenger is going to sign two English centre halfs in Cahill and Jagielka. This will cost in excess of £30 million.

Also upsetting the progression of Laurent Koscielny.

It’s obvious to me from the pre-season friendly that Wenger will be giving us the great partnership of Koscielny and Vermaelen. God knows who many goals we will concede from set-pieces again this season and learning nothing from last season.

We have Miquel as a promising youngster plus we would have to sell Djourou and Squillaci before he could buy both of them two anyway. It’s always about balancing the books, remember, and selling those two will not do that !!!

As for Barton, the exact player we need in midfield with plenty of bite passion and commitment needed to win midfield battles against the top sides.

Wenger will not go anywhere near him. We will be told we made an enquiry   -the same old bullshit we hear every season when a player we have been linked with rocks up for the oppostion. Only to be told it would have upset the progression of another player lacking and showing the above I mentioned about Barton.

Keep up the good work. By far the best forum out here !!

From Singapore Sean : My Math

Hi Myles,

Here’s my math:

Sell:

Cesc – 37M

Nasri – 22M

Bendtner – 8M

Clichy – 7M

Almunia – Free

Squillaci – 4M

Total: 78M

Buy:

Jag – 18M

Cahill – 15M

Mata – 25M (could have been less)

Total: 58M

Net Profit from Transfers: 20M

These three players will bring the buzz back to the Emirates.

It’s a shame to lose Cesc & Nasri, but life goes on and there will be brighter days.

But Wenger must go after this season.

Make me the director of transfers!
