And he didn’t sound as if he believed what he was saying either.
Coming from the most plausible spindoctor in the history of organised sport, this was surprising.
Why would such an accomplished & plausible broadcaster suddenly lose his conviction?
Maybe he thinks Man City could smash Arsenal 6-0.
But let’s remember: he survived an 8-2 thrashing at Old Trafford.
King Wenger has reigned for a very long time and he just loves to look down on us from his throne.
