Wenger did not learn from 5-1 in 2014: why was he given a new contract in 2017?

From Rhys Jaggar :

So Liverpool used a different squad to slaughter Arsenal the same way as Brendan Rodgers did.

No Suarez, no Sterling, Sturridge a substitute.

But they blitzed an Arsenal lacking a defensive midfield shield, unable to defend against fast-moving attackers and looking like a bunch of suckers with Ramsey, Bellerin and Xhaka all caught upfield as Liverpool made the game won before half time.

No manager gets sacked for getting turned over in one game. Many get sacked for not remedying the reasons for the hammering.

Liverpool must really enjoy playing Arsenal at the moment – the last four or five times they have blitzed them.

Clearly, Wenger has no plan B, Bould does not call him a deluded dinosaur c**t for not having one or, if he has, he has no plan B of telling Gazidis that the dinosaur c**t is beyond redemption and is destroying the football club or worst of all, he has done both those things, Gazidis has shrugged his shoulders and Bould must either resign or be a tool for the sake of his children’s school fees; and the dressing response is not Tony Adams mouthing off expletives at the manager for five minutes for being a first world war general, it is demanding a pay rise or a transfer despite repeated pathetic performances.

Perhaps Kroenke thinks he can let Wenger be the fall guy, when he is the only person who chose to rehire Wenger. Him alone. For that, he should walk the plank.

Usmanov should lower his diplomatic guard, park his tanks on Kroenke’s lawn and tell the mid-Western non-entity to f**k off back to LA and Denver where he belongs. If he succeeds, his first job should be firing Wenger with no boardroom sinecure, then firing all the Board Room nonentities who have been croaking ‘Yes Arsene, no Arsene, three bags full, Arsene’ to pick up their freebies for doing f**k all.

He puts Bould in temporary charge until he has hired an interim manager until summer 2018.

Then he uses the end of a world cup cycle to hire his preferred choice next summer. Unless he believes Fabregas is his man and he tells Abramovitch that, as he is the richer one, young Roman will do what he is told…

The alternative is Arsenal fans crowdfunding a war chest to buy out Kroenke, then taking it from there.

Myles says:

Does Usmanov still want to partly own this shambles?

He may want to sell his shares now.
