Wenger on overpaying Arsenal youth/Second but not serious?

From Andy:

Wenger also believes that overpaying players too early in their career can ‘kill the hunger’ before youngsters have proved themselves at the highest level.

‘I’ve fought all my life for footballers to make money but when you pay them before they produce it can kill the hunger. I’m scared we now have players under 17, under 18, who make £1m a year. When Ian Wright was earning that, he’d scored goals, he’d put his body on the line. Now, before they start, they are millionaires – a young player who has not even played.’

Is he serious.? He’s one of the main culprits

From Andy again : re Arsenal not serious

No kidding. Arsenal finished second in the EPL last season.

So what would any top club do under those circumstances?

Expect the club/board to buy the necessary players and improve training etc, and hopefully improve on last season second position.

So, if Arsenal are serious then why have we not made the necessary adjustment to improve the squad in key positions?

Why are we still persisting with the likes of Theo? Is there really nobody else in the world of football who is cheaper and better than Theo?

Looking forward to the new season….the 2017/18 season!

From Alex Darby :  Ashley Williams

I’m pretty jet lagged having been in the States the past week, but didn’t Wenger say we lacked some experience at centre back?

Ashley Williams available for a meagre £12m (given Stones has just signed for £47.5m). Any bid from Arsenal? Behave!!!

If you aren’t willing to do anything about a problem, you’re not a victim, you’re a volunteer.

My position of the last 7 year is still firmly fixed: WENGER OUT.

Myles says:

He’s healthy, Alex.

And more stubborn than ever.

Yes, he could get krushed by Klopp on Sunday, punished by Pep and Pochettino, mauled by Mourinho, beaten by Bilic again, and battered by Batman Batshuayi of Chelsea but he’s always as buoyant as a champagne cork on a tide, always able to bounce into the the top four.

And if Arsenal finish 7th and Wenger is deeply dismayed, Kroenke will give him a new three-year contract.

Normally I don’t write a lot at weekends.

But I will definitely do stuff here on Saturday and Sunday.

I’m really in the mood for the new season.

Big time! Can’t wait.

Arsenal v  Klopperpool could be over 3.5 goals.
