From Alan F : Heart, it’s as simple as that
Hi Myles,
The past while we have seen a lot of focus on Wenger not doing his job, it’s time for him to step down, the board are not doing their job transfer wise etc.
A lot of the fans are calling for better players and big name signings. But it’s nothing to do with big name signings and spending shed loads of cash, it’s the type of players Wenger keeps going for: nice guys! The ones you can take home to meet your parents!
When you compare the Arsenal team to the Leicester team on paper, the only player that would make it into the team is Mahrez . But when you compare them in real game situations, the desire and heart of each Leicester player trumps most of the Arsenal players.
Most of the Leicester players are journeymen who have had heartaches and setbacks. Journeymen work harder trying to get to the top, they have the desire and the heart to win!
Arsenal players don’t. Simple as that, they are a bunch of overpaid silver spoon gentlemen.
Some players had it, like Sanchez, Kos and Coq but for some reason it’s diminished over time. Maybe it’s Wenger teaching them to act in the correct manner and play his pretty football.
We need warriors not gentlemen and Leicester have 11 of them!
Get the heart and desire back at Arsenal and the good days will return.
Myles says:
Arsenal did beat Leicester twice but I know what you mean.
I’ve said this for 8 years at least.
Training at Colney is all about My Way.
Do it my way, prove my theories right, never shout at each other or me, keep your gobs shut, and I will protect you and overpay you, as long as you do what I say, and never shoot from 25 yards and never doubt me or talk back to me.
Remember how he allowed them to walk out at Wembley in sloppy clothes, some still with their headphones on!!!
No wonder those tossers lost to Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM!
Losing to Birmingham will always have a place in Arsenal’s Annals of Infamy.
That lowered your expectations, didn’t it.?
Nobody manages your expectations down as expertly as Lord Wenger.
He insists that any final is 50-50 because he loves to get his excuses in early.
While Hansen said you’ll never win anything with kids, Keane said you’ll never win anything with choirboys.
Two FA Cups in 10 years is nothing. It’s pathetic.
Especially when you look at the calibre of the teams Arsenal played
