If Spurs win the league, will Arsenal fans wake up?

From Jude McDaid : typical gutless Arsenal

Hi Myles,

Thanks for your blog, it has been a constant weekly read for many years since my dad told me about it.

For a long time I used to agree with quite a few of your points and also get pretty annoyed on how negative you could be towards Mr.Wenger’s policies. Now I am in 100% agreement with you. I have woken up and I have smelt the coffee.

The club unfortunately has no ambition and that comes from the top to the bottom of the club. The board have no real interest in EPL titles or CL titles. They are just interested in getting as many people to fine dine at one of the Emirates fancy restaurants. Thats why I don’t know why people are so surprised at the current results.

Against Swansea tonight gutless, no passion, no drive.

I may be young but I can still remember Vieira running like a bull, covering every blade of grass. Can you say the same about Ramsey?

Overall I know we can’t win the league this year, and we simply don’t deserve it.

I would feel a sense of guilt if we took the title this year off a team like Leicester, who have shown what team spirit and fight is all about.

At the Lane this Saturday, traditionally we are half-asleep for an early kick-off, so I would be very surprised if we got a result, although hopefully we do.

As I just would be completely sickened if they went on to lift it. But that would just sum it all up really, everything you and others have said for many years.

The year Arsenal fans think it is their season, Spurs go on and win it.

Hopefully then people might start to wake up!

From Will Beresford :

What are the REAL implications for the business if we come 5th? Surely we can’t keep these profits up?

I could do my own research but quite frankly I’m not in the mood to think about football today. Wenger has killed any enthusiasm I had left for another season.

Why has it taken everyone so long to wake up? After the same repeated failures by the same individual year on year.

If Arsenal come 5th does Wenger get the boot? Or am I nuts?

Myles says:

If Spurs go above Leicester, then I’ll believe Spurs can win the title.

Until then it’s a waiting game.

I’m enjoying it. This season has been a lot of fun after Chelsea’s walkover last year

When the phone rang on Wednesday, Jan said,”Who’s that calling at 10.30 at night?”

Kelvin was on his way home from the Emirates and distraught after his beloved team had lost 2-1 to Swansea.

He was already picturing the next disaster: “Spurs will score in the first five minutes,we’ll collapse – and lose by four or five.”

Without Cech and Koscielny, that could easily happen.

Spurs are a momentum team, with Danny Rose and Kyle Walker flying hard down the wings. If they don’t score from their first corner, they’ll probably score from their second.

Coquelin will either get sent off or be Man of the Match.
