This morning a call from my friend Chris Howard in Kent.
He’s had a brainwave.
So he wondered if I still knew anybody at the FA or Wembley.
Chris, a builder who was once a rock singer, suggested that the crowd should segue from the French national anthem into All You Need Is Love.
A recent ITV show had discovered that the most popular of the Beatles’s biggest hits is All You Need is Love.
We realise the terror attacks in Paris were made by people who will never understand our values.
Maybe the announcer should cue up that song.
If not, if 200 fans just started singing it, 50,000 would join in to show solidarity.
