Walcott & Sanchez must start, try to score first

Chelsea are 17th on this sunny Saturday morning in September.

While Arsenal are 4th.

After five games, Arsenal already have six more points than last season’s champions.

And Chelsea v Arsenal kicks off less than three hours from now at 12.45pm.

What are my gut feelings?

First, that Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott must start together up front.

Their speed will force Chelsea to defend a bit deeper and that will give Cazorla more space to play and Ozil more angles for a killer ball that might win the game.

Secondly, I’m expecting a rugged, controversial battle.

Petr Cech is playing against his friends but this game will not be a tame 1-1 draw.

But it might be a bruising 1-1 draw.

The steely but erratic Ramires will put himself about.
So will Oscar and Costa, Cahill and Azpil.

And Matic takes no prisoners.

So fasten your seat-belts and prepare for a bumpy ride.

After two weeks on holiday without any football, I’m up for it.

Can’t wait for ref Mike Dean to blow that whistle.
