Wenger implies that Arsenal can’t be nice at Palace today

“Sometimes, we are maybe too nice,”  said Wenger.

“If you want to say our aggressive level last Sunday was not big enough, then I would agree with you. It is maybe linked with the fact we were too confident and that we thought we would win the game anyway.”

The Professor has spoken.

He reckons Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace are formidable opponents.

SO DO I.

However, it’s been a good weekend for away teams.

Man United won at Aston Villa on Friday night with a goal by Adnan Januzaj.

Although I love the kid, I don’t have a clue what Januzaj will do this season. But he might do quite a lot

Ranieri’s Leicester were far too bright and fiery for West Ham, beating them 2-1 at Upton Park, where   chunky midfielder Payet scored a fine late goal for the Hammers.

What a brilliant signing Dimitri Payet is!

Reece Oxford, the teenager, was taken off at half-time.

Classic comments from Slav, an honest coach who tells it like it is.

Bilic said, “They were far quicker than us, they were more aggressive, they were more aware, they were better on the second ball. Without winning the second balls, you have absolutely no chance of winning a football game. Especially in England.”

In other words, Leicester were nothing like Arsenal last week.

Leicester were very fast, enthusiastic and competitive all over the pitch. They come at you and keep coming and look dangerous and score first and knock you off your game.

Crystal Palace are like that too.

Their style is quite spiky and penetrating.

The big, explosive Bolasi might give Bellerin plenty to think about.

Alexis Sanchez is back today and he should give Arsenal the urgency and cutting edge that was so sadly lacking last week.

Kick-off is at 1.30 pm

DON’T make any bets on this game because anything could happen.
