Arsenal can’t drop Ozil because of his £41m price tag

Hi Myles,

If there was a letter I’ve been writing for many weeks that needed more work, now I don’t need to write it anymore because Poet has said everything there is to say.

A pure and clear analysis of Arsenal’s problem.

Clued-up followers who love this club and know their football know that you cannot play Ramsey or Ozil or Cazorla on the wings. No way. They play central or they don’t play at all.

Same goes for Oxlade, Alexis & Bellerin. They provide width to this Arsenal team. I have been saying it in my circle it’s almost a broken record now.

Everything changed with Ozil. Poet is 100% spot on.

In fact I have not read anything this good in 5 years!

We now have a player who is undroppable, not because of his talent but because of his pricetag and the repercussions.

Once you have that sort of problem, then your chances of winning the PL are more or less ‘buckleys’.

I support going back to basics. How about playing each player in their natural positions for a start?

Wenger loves to shoe-horn players. It’s blindingly annoying.

Imagine we wanted to bring in Draxler (not long ago) to shoe-horn him into a striker??? Absolutely crazy!

Bringing in a DM to provide variety to that position will be a good thing, as an injury to Coquelin is all we need to get another wobble.

Just 2 players from being complete.

It’s always been 2-3 short. Incredible.

Myles says:

What, pray tell me, is “buckleys”?

Arsenal is a vehicle is Arsene’s sometimes flawed ideas.

As Monaco  was – and Grampus 8.

He’s a polymath who wants to re-invent the wheel and he did that very well up to 2004.

But he should get out more.

Going into the training ground every day this summer?

Yes, I was being a bit flippant during the week.

But I would have sold Ozil and Walcott by now.

However, Walcott must start at Palace today.
