From Darrell Desouza :
Good Morning Myles,
I’m not sure whether or not you have seen this article (originally reported in The Times) but it looks as if Chelsea have allowed Christophe Lollichon to join Cech at Arsenal.
This can only be good news for the defensive stability at Arsenal and the development of our young keepers too.
Keep up the blog!
Myles says:
Thanks, Darrell.
That news is mega for me.
When I saw that Christophe was in Montreal with Chelsea, I was dismayed and furious.
I’ve been sulking about it ever since.
Now I’m as happy as Gene Kelly doing “Singing in The Rain.”
I’m going to grab an umbrella and dance in the street now, rather than wait for a shower. Maybe even run up a wall and do a somersault. As a kid in Edinburgh I was impressed when I saw Gene Kelly do that in a Hollywood musicial.
Talking about rain, when I first came to London and worked at a creative consultancy that made commercials I learned that there was a company called Wet Roads For Night Filming.
I wonder if that firm still exists?
From Neil Peters: Gene Kelly
Just a quick correction – it was Donald O’Connor who ran up the wall in “Make Em Laugh” scene of Singing in the Rain.
Could be an interesting season, just hope I am not deflated 5 games in!
Myles says:
Thanks. I remember Donald being in that film.
Just see 10 Arsenal games before making up your mind.
I want to see 10 with Alexis Sanchez.
My Arsenal season starts when Sanchez plays his first game.
Further talk of Marco Reus?
Reus is Walcott with a football brain. Very special.
