Renato’s style is not like Kaka

Born and raised in Flamengo, this 19-year old boy has shown people in Europe that he could be the new Kaka.

In fact, Renato Augusto is much closer in style to Rivaldo than to Kaka, although he is right-footed.

His only taste of a tournament was an Under-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005, where he played for Brazil with Denilson (Arsenal), Anderson (Portto) and Marcelo (Real Madrid).

As a professional at Flamengo, it all started last year after the 2006 World Cup.

Arsene Wenger shows one thing with his
interest : he has been watching Brazilian domestic football very carefuly for a long time.

In 1994,  Wenger signed Alexandre "Alberto" for Nagoya, the son of great right back Carlos  Alberto. He was a very skilful central defender, a very good player, but never an international. In Brazil he is known as Alexandre Torres.

Now, 13 years later, the Frenchman comes back to buy the latest jewel of the Brazilian game.
