Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth hope to do a Swansea

Eddie Howe was the guest on Monday Night Football with Jamie Carragher &  Gary Neville.

Asked about signings for his newly-promoted side, Howe said that team spirit was one of Bournemouth’s strengths and new players would be recruited with that in mind.

Swansea were about to play Arsenal last night and Howe recalled a time when he was manager of Burnley and Brendan Rodgers was managing Swansea, as he watched, from a distance, when Swansea were promoted, to see how they handled their first season in the Premier League.

“Swansea’s journey has been similar to ours,” he said.

Talking tactics with the boys,  Howe said Bournemouth have only played with a false No.9 once this season.

In six years at Bournemouth the personable, level-headed Howe has won three promotions.

Myles says: Well done and good luck next season.
